The book begins on a sad note, Emily and Navin's Dad dies in a car accident. They then move to a house in the country that has been in their family for a long time. Emily and Navin begin exploring their new home with their mom and find a secret room that belonged to their great-great grandfather.

In the room Emily comes across a stone and puts it on. Navin and Emily hear noises and go downstairs were their mom is no where to be found. They then see a tentacled creature kidnapping their mom going into the basement!

As Emily and Navin run into the basement their world falls away and
they find themselves in a new one.

Can they save their mom? Where are they?

I finished this book in about an hour or so because it was so great! This graphic novel has great art work, simple and great line work. The story is also very strong.

This new world that Navin and Emily enter is really interesting, there are robots, magic stones, and even evil fairies!
