Netflix and Wii

If you have Netflix and a Wii you can now stream movies/TV shows over the internet to your TV, plus you still get DVDs delivered to your home.

Now you may be asking why would a librarian write about this?

I really want to be a modern librarian. One that understands what kids/teens like and what their interests are. By better understanding what they like to do I can then suggest better books.

While I was checking out the Netflix "Watch Instantly" section here are some movies/Tv Shows I really like.

The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking
I had to add this one because as a child I would make my parents rent this every week for about a year. Pippi Longstocking is back for another adventure, this time she washes ashore with her talking horse and pet monkey. She amazes everyone in town with her magic tricks and friendliness, everyone except Ms. Bannister. Will Pippi's Dad come back in time?

Arthur
Based on the Arthur books, by Marc Brown, this fun series is about Arthur and all his friends. Watch as they learn to help each other out and learn new things!
